My first wedding fayre

Posted 14th February 2016

Love is in the air, so I thought I would share with you the highlights of my first Wedding Fayre….

My “mini shed” wedding fayre display

The Barn at The Haughmond is a small and beautiful venue, gorgeous for a more intimate wedding and was the stage for my mini shed on the day showcasing a collection of some of my bespoke wedding stationery designs.

All the hard work preparing for it, the late nights dusting off the shed panels to give them a fresh lick of paint and pedantically tweaking the positioning of my portfolio, jars of flowers and crates in our kitchen getting the display just right, was worth it.

I stood back and felt really proud! It was almost emotional seeing my designs presented together in one place and heartwarming remembering all the weddings I’m honoured to have played a part in.

I had a brilliant time chatting the day away to lots of lovely couples, getting excited with them about their plans and ideas. It was a perfect reminder of how much I love bringing couple’s ideas to life and creating something beautiful to land on the doormats of their guests, setting the tone for their big day and bringing their personalities into their wedding even months before the day arrives.

As a little thank you to all the lovely guests who came along to see me and let me be part of their wedding inspiration, I ran a little giveaway on the day to win one of my personalised framed prints. A winner has been drawn at random from the entries. Drumroll please….

Congratulations Sarah & Duncan from Newport, I look forward to creating your personalised print for you very soon

Thank you to everyone else that entered, there is a little something on its way to your inbox too.

I was joined on the day by a selection of other very lovely local exhibitors, who I also had the pleasure of chatting with during the course of the day too. With it being my first time on the wedding fayre scene, it was great to network a little and I look forward to keeping in touch with them and seeing them at more wedding fayres in the future. Here are some links to a few of those that were there on the day…

I am planning to get the mini shed back out again soon and will keep you posted of future fayres I will be attending so I hope to see you out and about over the coming months.

Congratulations to all that have got engaged over Valantine’s weekend! Exciting times lie ahead for you planning your big day!

If you are looking to send out some beautifully bespoke wedding invitations to your guests and would like to see if I can help create them, I would love to meet up and have a chat with you over a cuppa, hear your ideas and see if I can help. Drop me a line and we can arrange to chat more soon.

Till the next wedding fayre, much love to you all and see you soon.

A few thank you’s…

To The Haughmond for inviting me to take part in both mine and their first wedding fayre.

To Andy Hughes for sending me some fab photos he took on the day of my display.

To my mum for all her help in the lead up preparing for it, my hubby for baring with my late nights and the fact that there was mini shed in our kitchen all week, and everyone on the day who helped assemble and dismantle the mini shed (and bringing me cups of tea).

To the lovely Laura of Business B for the continued support and mentoring sessions together developing my stationery boutique.

And of course, it goes without saying to everyone who took the time to say hello, allowed me into their plans and entered my giveaway.
